My AIHA has caused two falls now (I realise that's not many but I'm used to being very active & mobile so it seems like a big deal). In the first fall I broke my tail bone because it was onto a hard surface and the second fall I hit my head. I'm only 44 and used to being very active so I'm wondering how people cope with the risk of falls and staying safely mobile? The issue causing the falls hasn't even been fully explained to me by my specialist they've just said 'yes, that's common with AIHA'… read more
i just want people to know that from vitamins and minerals my hg drops but i have no idea why, only the magnesium works for me. i took b12 for two weeks and i went for a blood check up and my hg levels were lower. i took a vitamin complex without b12 for another two weeks and it still lowered my hg. i tried with vitamin c and it still the same, it lowers my hg levels but i don't know why. the only thing that doesn't affect me is magnesium.
Thankyou, yes I'm already taking folic acid iron magnesium and many other things. The Q was about safe ,mobility. They can't prescribe more prednisone til i see the rhumatologist but thankyou for your care
i think the folic acid, magnesium and the iron are over the counter from the pharmacy and u can just go and buy them and is gonna help u feel better but it wont solve your problems tho. the prednisone needs a prescription from a doctor and u cant go and just buy it but would help u a lot.
I've had two courses of prednisone but now it's being managed by serum iron transfusions and blood transfusions roughly every 3 months. I'm waiting for a rhumatology appointment to try and get better management but it's a very long waiting list
do you get prednisone or some kind of medication ?
