My haematologist has told me that my Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia triggered the AIHA that I now suffer with. My CLL was of low level and was just being monitored. I am now about to start treatment for the CLL , hopefully this will prevent any further admissions to hospital for blood transfusions.

From the answers here, I think I’m going to see a lot of pre-existing conditions of another disease prior to the AIHA.
We all know that pre-existing conditions weakens the natural immune system and it opens up the patient to a plethora of other problems.
