Diagnosed in june. Finished my treatment in November 2024, went back to work in April 2025. The hematology doctor told me that recurrence could be 2 years maybe 5 years, or longer.

Thanks for this. Because they’re not 100% sure what caused it, it’s difficult to know how likely a recurrence is. Most likely cause is lymphoma they found with bone marrow biopsy, but it’s apparently “indolent” - just hope it stays that way!

You will probably be ok for a year.
Anything longer than that is luck.
Rituximab works for about 6 months. Than is only the question how fast will your stupid immune system start to attack your red blood cells again.

Thanks Cynthia. I did ask my consultant but I guess it’s a bit like asking “how long is a piece of string “ especially when they’re not sure of the cause!
