John2 Hi. We are in Canada. And so fed up with winter being the longest season.

I’m currently back in Kuching, East Malaysia, and I’ve resumed my daily laps in the outdoor pool here. - Now, doing 400 metres with a minute rest after after every 50 metres.

Last month, however, (February, 2024), after the beginning of Chinese New Year celebrations, I had a sleep deficit over several nights and I was eating poorly.
As a consequence, I developed an infection and fever from the breakdown of my immune system and was in the hospital for 4 days.
I had a complete relapse of my AIHA. My haematologist had a unit of blood ready for me.

Very fortunately, I began to recover under a high dose of Prednisolone at 40 Mg./day. Now, I’m down to 30 Mg. and still reducing.
I build stamina by swimming laps in the pool here.

And yes, I’m very sensitive to climates and environmental conditions.
I believe that going from a very hot climate to a very cold climate precipitated my AIHA in the first place two years ago.

My “other half” will return here from Vladivostok late this month, March, 2024.
She’s retired now.
We’ll return together to Vladivostok in mid May.

It seems as if my body became intolerant to the cold also. Last winter was minus 10 degrees centigrade with very heavy frost. The weather is getting warmer and my condition shows improvement. I was advised to keep warm and take Folic Acid

With this question I presume that “seasonal” can relate to environmental temperature changes.
I basically try to live in warm temperatures, either by location or the time of year.
I can no longer tolerate cold weather.
