I realize that I have to pay attention to how I feel physically, especially fatigue, stomach issues, congestion. All of these symptoms led to another episode. Luckily my spouse told me to contact my hematologist. I was able to get treatment before I was in a crisis.

My major lifestyle change since I was was initially diagnosed with IAHA is taking medications/drugs daily.
For most of my life, I prided myself to be completely free from any drugs whatsoever, prescription or illicit.

Now, at this time in my life, I realise that this is not realistic but perhaps some day, it might be possible again.
I’m just thrilled to be alive and recovering from severe AIHA that almost sent me to the next world last February. 🤔

“Vaccines” will never, ever be a consideration for me!!

Another, recent lifestyle change for me, although not new, is that I resumed swimming as a conditioning and recovery exercise of choice.
During the Spring of 2021, I was swimming, (crawl stroke), one kilometre for every days at the Olympic Sports Centre in Vladivostok until they closed the pool at the end of June.
Now, I am doing 18 laps of 25 metres each and resting 0 to 20 seconds between each lap.

And finally, my experience with AIHA has changed my outlook on life.
I appreciate the simple things of my environment more than ever before.

I check my temp anytime sick. I keep up to date on vaccines and get them as often as supposed to eg. PNEUMOVAX every 5 yrs.
Fyi...my pneumovax due 11/17/22. Was waiting to Nov. to get and got pneumonia 10/25. Have not had this issue in at least 10 yrs but who knew! I have no spleen.
Exercise imperative...even though not a lover of it. My favorite is swim aerobics. Or the 40 min " station " kind. Yoga good too. Walking. I gained too much weight over covid and working on smaller portions and more veggies. ...avoids a lot of sugar and dairy. Slow process. Make sure your MD
aware and on board with illness. If really sick, dont let anyone blow off symptoms ..insist on cultures if temp > 101.5 as high for adult.

I need to make decisions on a daily basis about what activities I can manage for the day. Will I do yoga, or decorate the tree, lunch out, bake, vacuum? One or two…definitely not all.🤩

I don't know where to. I'm always in bed in pain. I have had to rethink my future because I can not make it through 1 regular 8hr shift anymore. I'm single mother of 4 so that's a stressor on top things. I just take it day by day.
