Interesting. 🤔. ….. My Chinese Malaysian haematologist is a senior member of the haematology staff at the hospital.
He was highly recommended by a friend of mine here in Kuching. My friend consulted with other doctors here and they came up with his name as a primary choice I should consider. And I have no regrets! I met with him again today, Monday, 24 October and my haemoglobin has now risen to 11.1.

I’m absolutely dumbfounded by the speed of recovery I have experienced in the last 12 days! 😳
I asked my haematologist how.
He says only that I’m responding very well to the Prednisolone and that based on this response, he does not anticipate the kind of adverse reactions I had from the same steroid at the same dosage last April. 🤔
It almost seems too good to be real. My first dosage reduction will be on Wednesday, 26 October.

Tonight, I swam another 10 laps, (crawl stroke), in the 25 metre pool here, (in the rain.). I rest less than 30 seconds between each lap. I really feel my stamina coming back. I need to try climbing flights of stairs and see how that turns out.

My story continues for a another day.

Best wishes

I don’t know what competent looks like. All the hemotologists at the clinic I am associate with look like they are 20 years old….maybe smart…but not yet wise. I am sure I exaggerate….but not a lot!

Wow! I'm so sorry you are that pessimistic! I think the key to a positive outcome is access to a really competent hematologist. 🤔

I am afraid that we will not get it under control and that it will eventually kill me. The condition will compromise my organs…particularly the brain.
